Scholarships for Graduating High School Seniors

Each year the High Desert Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) offers a scholarship to a deserving high school senior. Two scholarships are currently presented to college bound students in the amount of $500 each. The winner of the local scholarship application will be forwarded to National ASMC headquarters to compete for one of eleven national scholarships: one for $3,000, five for $2,000 and five for $1,000. The selection criteria are primarily scholastic achievement and leadership activities related to career and academic goals.

ASMC is a professional organization directed towards financial management and resources management. The purpose of the organization is to promote education, interaction, and general development among its members. In addition to developing professionalism in the workforce, ASMC is active in encouraging newcomers to the field.

The nominees must be entering a field of study directly related to financial/resource management (such as business administration, economics, accounting, finance). Applications that do not fall within these fields will not be considered.

Nominees must have at least one letter of recommendation from an academic official, signed and dated. They must also provide proof of SAT or ACT scores.

The nominee's data must be contained on the attached forms. As stated in the nomination form, local reproduction is authorized.
